A FEW WORDS ABOUT USLet us introduce ourselves: We are a friendly and inclusive group of beekeepers based around the Etowah River Region in North Georgia. Our goal is to increase the viability of honeybees through support of local beekeepers and education to the public. We provide education, best practices, and startup mentoring, to our members as well as promote awareness of the honeybee. |

INTERESTED IN BEEKEEPING?Come join us! Whether you are exploring how to start beekeeping, you are looking for beekeeping classes near you (including beekeeping for beginners) or you are an experienced backyard beekeeper or commercial beekeeper, we have a spot for you and welcome you to join. |
WHY BECOME A MEMBER?We’re a different kind of beekeeping club. Etowah River Beekeepers was founded by beekeepers that wanted a club that not only focused on assisting and mentoring aspiring backyard beekeepers and helping established beekeepers increase their level of knowledge, but also wanted a club that placed an emphasis on community outreach. The club meets monthly with meetings mostly focused on the beekeeping calendar and what beekeepers will be experiencing in their apiaries, but we also have expert guest speakers that will occasionally address the club. We also have regular opportunities for hands-on, hiveside learning at one of our two teaching apiaries. The Officers and Directors are both new and experienced beekeepers that have held office, directorships and memberships in many other Georgia beekeeping clubs. The Etowah River Beekeepers is the only regional club holding a Charter Affiliation with the Georgia Beekeeper’s Association. |
WHERE DO I SIGN UP?…and what does it cost? Most of our meetings are open to the public, but we do ask that after attending a couple meetings you help support the club and our efforts by becoming a member. Use the membership form button below to sign up. Club Dues are $25.00 per calendar year. Payments may be made here on our site, or you may mail a check. Make checks payable to Etowah River Beekeepers and mail to: Attn: ERB Treasurer |
